Mark 6:1-13

“The Consequences of Rejecting Jesus”

1. The revelation of Jesus’ identity and power led to his hometown being offended. (v.1-3)

Application: Are you offended at Jesus’ claim of Savior and Lord of your life?

2. Jesus marveled at the people of Nazareth’s unbelief, and did no mighty work there because of it. (v.4-6)

Application: We shouldn’t expect God to do mighty works in our lives, if we don’t have faith.

3. Jesus sent out his disciples in pairs, equipped them with authority over demons, and commanded them to testify against those who would not receive them, as they proclaimed the gospel of repentance. (v.7-13)

Application: God has commissioned us, given us authority, called us to walk by faith, given us a testimony of judgment, and called us to proclaim the gospel of repentance through faith in Jesus!
