Jesus is The Worthy King

Mark 12:1-12

“A Story of God’s Grace, Mercy, and Justice”

1. God graciously gives to His people. (v.1-3)

A. God gave Israel great gifts.

B. God graciously gave many messengers to His people.

Application Question: Do you receive God’s grace with thankfulness and offering, or do you shamefully steal from the Lord?

2. God extends great mercy. (v.4-8)

A. God gave Israel many opportunities to repent, through many messengers.

B. God’s great mercy led to Him sending His own Son.

Application Question: Have you received God’s mercy with thankfulness and repentance, or do you expect God’s mercy with entitlement and greed?

3. God faithfully enforces perfect justice and righteous judgment. (v.9-12)

A. The Son was God’s final opportunity for repentance.

B. The rejection of the Son by the Jews, has led to great grace for the Gentiles.

Application Question: What is your response to the truth of God’s coming judgment?
