Serving our community is a large aspect of our missions. We had to discontinue carrying a blessing box on the property, but our desire to provide food and necessities to those in need is still something we are looking to do. We currently keep a small food pantry on campus and will provide basic necessities to those in need. You only need to stop by the office and ask for a bag of groceries!
Highland Park local ministry opportunities:
- Holy City Missions- Throughout the winter months, we staff the warming shelter for Holy City Missions. This is a friday night ministry that takes place when the temperature is below 35 degrees. We provide a meal, bible study, and seek to minister and love those who are struggling.
-BUSY HANDS TEAM- Every other Wednesday at 9AM, this team uses their gifts in sewing and crafting to provide care packages for different ministries in the area. This includes care packages for the prison ministry, seafarers ministry, Operation Christmas Child, and much more!
-LATCHKEY TEAM- Latchkey is an after-school program that Highland Park began when we saw a need in the community of Hanahan. We seek to provide a safe place for the children where they can complete their homework, learn about Jesus, and where there families can be supported and ministered to.
-HANDS AND FEET MINISTRY TEAM- Our Hands and Feet ministry is a team of church members that seeks to do one ministry project per month. The project is based on needs in the community and has included assisting families in moving, doing yard work and clean up for seniors, and providing a community yard swap in which everything is Free to those in need!
-HOMEBOUND MINISTRY TEAM- This team visits with, encourages, and serves the needs of those in our church who are no longer physically able to attend in person. There are lots of ways to make an impact with this team!
